In 2015/16 our Club President Ashlee Evans in collaboration with President Sherif Salama of the Rotary Club of Mawson Lakes began a project that involved our club members volunteering at the club events of Mawson Lakes in order to raise fund for the Northern Domestic Violence Service. This partnership is not only a valuable opportunity to fundraise for a cause close to many hearts but it was an opportunity to network and strengthen the relationship that our club members have with the Rotarians of Mawson Lakes.
The experience has been fantastic and we look forward to announcing how much we raised for this worthy cause at the end of the 2015/16 Rotary Year.
The Rotary Club of Mawson Lakes has a strong history in the City of Salisbury having been chartered on the 6th of June 1978 in what was then the Salisbury South. We plan on using the knowledge of the past to build on our future. The Club has always had an active role in the community and we wish to remain a relevant and vibrant force through our many projects.
In the coming year the Club will provide ongoing support to our very successful Community Service Projects, New Generations, Vocational and International Projects. These projects have a very prominent effect on our communities, and we look forward to expanding them accordingly.
In the year ahead we will continue to light up Rotary and build the relationship we have with the City of Salisbury, with our sponsors, local business , other Rotary clubs and community groups.
